This morning (Feb 12th), Phuket Municipality Fresh Market was crowded a lot of Chinese Thais in Phuket came to to buy offerings to worship their ancestor in Chinese New Year Day. The best seller of the day were pork, chicken, Chinese sweets, fruits and vegetable.

For the meat price, pork priced was increased 2 baht per kilogram; chicken priced was decreased from 68 baht per kg. to 65 baht per kg. while the local chicken price was decreased to 120 baht per kg. The fruits price were also increased like apple was increased 3 baht up from normal price and marain plum price was increased from 200 baht per kg. to 220 -250 baht per kg.

Anyway, people who want lower priced offerings went to the temporary pork shop in front of Office of Internal Trade Phuket where they can get pork at only 100 baht per kg. There were also a lot of other products used during the Chinese New Year in the area.
